Muskoka Pool and Spa is a family owned swimming pool service and cleaning company serving customers in the Muskoka region. Our experience in the pool service industry allows us to offer a variety of services to meet your needs.

With 26 years’ experience within the hospitality industry operating commercial pools and Mechanical operations, we understand the needs of keeping your pool or hot tub sparkling clean and your equipment in perfect working order.

RESIDENTIAL

Here at Muskoka Pool and Spa we offer various maintenance programs tailored to meet your needs, we offer weekly, bi-weekly and monthly visits.

General Tasks Completed During Our Visits:

  • Checking the water level and adding water if necessary
  • Brushing the walls
  • Clean around the water line
  • Cleaning out all skimmer and pump baskets
  • Backwashing sand filter system or inspecting of Cartridge filter systems. (Additional charges apply for Cartridge Filter cleaning or replacing)
  • Complete water balancing
  • Overall inspection of operating equipment (Pumps, Filters, Heaters, Salt Generators, etc.)
  • Chemicals added to meet safe and desirable swimming conditions (unless told otherwise)
  • Vacuuming the pool
  • We will also provide necessary chemicals for your convenience

POOL OPENING

  • Drain and remove winter cover
  • Wash Winter Cover and all Water Bags and then fold
  • Power Wash pool deck and all related pool equipment
  • Install all summer fittings and equipment
  • Clean water line, tiles, and coping
  • Filtration system cleaning
  • Once water in the pool is at operating levels the filtration equipment can then be started and automation programmed. A second visit will be needed to confirm chemical levels are where they should be
  • Any repairs will be an additional cost, quote will be provided

POOL CLOSING

  • Lowering of water level to the appropriate point
  • Removal of ladders/diving boards and summer fittings
  • Plumbing, pumps, filters, heaters, salt cells, chlorinators, and any other related pool equipment, will either be drained, removed and winterized
  • All appropriate winterizing fittings are installed
  • Water is treated with necessary chemicals to protect during winter shut down
  • Vacuum Pool (Up to an hour – additional time available but subject to additional charge)
  • Pool is covered and cover secured. Typical winter covers (Water Bags, Beaded, Safety Cover’s) additional costs may be required if you do not have the covers
  • All removed equipment will be stored away at customers requested location on property.

AUTOMATION

Muskoka pool and Spa can help you with all your automation needs and programming. The proper use Pool controllers can enhance your outdoor experience by having one system to operate your pool lights, pool pumps, music systems and more.

LEAK DETECTION & REPAIR

Unfortunately, pools do leak from time to time. When this happens, it’s important that you take appropriate action to avoid additional repair costs and structural damage to your pool. Muskoka Pools and Spa take necessary steps to find the source of the leak and offer additional services to repair the leak.

SALT WATER CONVERSION

There are many Saltwater Systems on the market and many different myths about Saltwater Pools. At Muskoka Pool and Spa, we are there to answer those questions, we can provide you with up to date techniques on how to look after your Saltwater Pool as well as installing new systems.
